break the bias (Banner (Landscape)) (4).png

This year's global International Women's Day theme is "break the bias," and we have joined together and called upon the inspiring women in our network to launch a 4-day program of talks, workshops, and wellness activities by women, for women, aimed at re-discovering and harnessing our inner power.

Event hosted in partnership between the Association for the Integration of Women (AIW) and the International Women's Association of Modena.

100% of the proceeds from this event go as a fundraiser to AIW's upcoming social innovation project, Roots

Francesca Soffici

To describe myself in a sentence, I'd quote Bruce Chatwin: “Travel doesn’t merely broaden the mind. It makes the mind.”

I started traveling when I was 12, thanks to CISV, a global organization dedicated to peace education through intercultural friendship and understanding. This experience inspired me to become a tourism professional, a job that allows me to have daily contact with people from all over the world, which I love!

I graduated in Economics and Management of Tourism Services at the University of Bologna and since 1998 I’ve been working for Modenatur, incoming tour operator promoting Modena and its region, where I’m now director. I’m also the coordinator of the Tourist Office of Modena. I joined IWA Modena in 2018 since I find it's amazing to have the opportunity to share friendship and projects supporting the local community with a group of women coming from all over the world.

Inbal Haim

I am Inbal Haim and I am Israeli. I have been dancing since I was 5 years old, trying all styles from classical to modern, jazz, funk, hip hop, Latin American, group dance, Israeli dance. My destiny seemed almost defined (I wanted to be a dance teacher), but during my military service I also got to know the world of fitness; in fact, being an instructor of “Krav Maga” (self defense) and after some hard training, my dancers body was transformed into a more fit one! After my military service, I made the final decision and went to study physical education. I graduated, following parallel fitness and dance courses to obtain my teaching qualifications.
Lately I have been working, with great satisfaction, with pregnant women, elderly people, boys and girls who have never danced, children in the 4/6 range and many others.
My goal is to bring happiness to the people I work with, hoping that they get better,  and feel better. I love when they tell me: "since I have been doing life has changed .."
