Celebrating employment on the day of European foundations

1 October 2023- We joined the Foundation of Modena, Caritas Modenese, and Fondazione Modena Arte Visive in drawing attention to the importance of employment on the European Day of Foundations. Over 150 locals came to Roots to taste international flavors from our Ambassador’s home countries, and to learn more about AIW’s work in the community.

Our ambassadors shone as they presented a diverse range of delectable dishes: Tahira, from Pakistan, delighted our taste buds with Pani Puri; Bouchra, representing Morocco, introduced us to the enchanting world of CousCous; Blessing, with her roots in Nigeria, served up fresh fried Akara.

Among many appointments of the festival in diverse settings, lectures, and activities, Zouhaira’s catering and the guests’s enthusiasm reminds us of the power of food as a concrete way to create opportunities for integration.
