Roots: social enterprise restaurant & co-working space
Since April 2022, Roots is an award-winning social enterprise restaurant and community space where the Modenese community meets their new neighbors through food.
Professional Training Programs
Paid, professional training programs (tirocinio) for migrant women passionate about food, and motivated to start careers in restaurants. The program includes both technical and non-technical skill development, designed to prepare trainees with a strong foundation to take their first steps towards employment.
Skill-builders
Leveraging the skills and experience of women in our community, we host annual continued learning and network-building activities designed to foster a stronger feeling of social integration and self-confidence.
AIW Ambassadors
A community leadership-based program designed to foster leaders directly within the community we serve, to promote diverse representation, and to co-create future programs for AIW.
